ABOUT US
President: Stacie Briggs
"Our Library is such a great place for everyone! I grew up an avid reader, and I used to hide from my mom to read and avoid helping out my younger siblings. I ended the last 13 years of my teaching career as the reading specialist for Crestview Heights School and our public library has always been one of my favorite places for students and for me. Now, we NEED a bigger space to meet the demands of our community! I'm pleased to be a part of the team working to make a new library happen."
Treasurer : Jan Hansen
"When I moved to Waldport in 1989, the library consisted of two small rooms at the back of City Hall and was only open a few hours a day. Now it fills the entire building and is too small for all the services and activities that are taking place there six days per week. Books, CDs, movies, computers, reading and writing programs, child and adult crafts, meetings - all need more room! I am very proud to be part of an effort to help our community build a new library facility that can accommodate the needs of the present, as well as provide for whatever the future will bring."

"As an educator and life-long learner, I am committed to all that the local library stands for and seeks to continue to provide. I, too, fulfilled the role as Crestview Heights reading specialist for two years, and now as a substitute teacher, I am involved with young and adult writing groups on a regular basis. I attest to the NEED for more space for the fabulous programs being planned and executed in our wonderful Waldport community! I am honored to fulfill this role at this exciting time for growth!"
